Privacy Policy
PostPigeon ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
1. Information we collect
We collect only the minimum information needed to provide the service:
- Email address — collected when you join the waitlist or create an account.
- Usage data — basic, anonymised telemetry (page views, feature interactions) to help us improve the product. No personal identifiers are attached.
- Content you create — posts, images, and scheduling data you enter into the dashboard. This data is stored solely to deliver the service back to you.
2. How we use your information
- To send you a single notification email when early access opens (waitlist only).
- To operate and maintain the PostPigeon service.
- To diagnose errors and improve reliability.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Data storage & security
Your content and credentials are stored in your own infrastructure when you self-host PostPigeon. For cloud-hosted plans (when available), data is stored in encrypted databases. We use industry-standard TLS for data in transit and AES-256 encryption for data at rest.
Platform API credentials (OAuth tokens, API keys) are stored only in your environment and are never transmitted to or stored on PostPigeon servers.
4. Cookies & tracking
The public landing page uses no third-party tracking cookies. We may set a single first-party session cookie for authentication purposes when you log in to the dashboard. We do not use advertising cookies or fingerprinting.
5. Third-party services
PostPigeon integrates with third-party platforms (X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Threads, Reddit, Dev.to, GitHub) on your behalf. Your use of those platforms is governed by their respective privacy policies. We only access the scopes you explicitly authorise.
6. Data retention
Waitlist emails are retained until early access launches, after which they are deleted unless you create an account. You may request deletion at any time by emailing privacy@postpigeon.app.
Account data is retained for the lifetime of your account and deleted within 30 days of account closure.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Object to or restrict processing.
- Data portability.

8. Children's privacy
PostPigeon is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email if you are on the waitlist or registered as a user. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.
